A fun summer weekend

The three of us had a very fun weekend. On Friday Cassie came over to see the new house and we went out to lunch. Ava LOVES Cassie and especially enjoyed playing in the backyard with her.

On Saturday we went to the pool. We're very excited to now live really close to the Lakeville Lifetime Fitness which has a very nice outdoor pool. Ava enjoyed it last summer, but this summer it's even more fun now that she's walking and can go and explore on her own. She kept asking Dada to bring her into the waterfall mushroom!

On Sunday, for Father's Day, Ava spent the day with Grandma Kim while Mike and I went to the Twins game with my dad, bro and his girlfriend Bre (yes, another Brie!). Ava was a gem for Grandma and I'm glad they got to spend some quality time together. That evening we all went over to Mike's parents for a nice BBQ.

And on Monday to wrap up the fun we went to the park with our "mom's group" friends. Although it was very hot, the kiddos had fun running around the park, shoveling rocks and swinging.

We're very glad that summer is here and have been trying to make it a point to get out and have fun despite all the work we still have to do around the house.
