Griffin's Lake

Ava & Griffin!
It has become a tradition to visit "Griffin's Lake" (as Ava so affectionately calls it) each summer. It's actually my aunt and uncle's cabin but my cousin's son, Griffin, is Ava's highlight of going, so around here it's become known as Griffin's Lake!

This year Mike and Liam had to stay home at the last minute when Liam came down with a fever. It ended up being the right decision as he had the fever and was very sick all weekend. We missed them like crazy but it was for the better. It was not worth risking sharing those yucky germs.

Most of my mom's side of the family ends up going so the crowd is often around 30 people. We absolutely love getting to spend time with everyone and doing many fun/typical cabin activities like boat rides, swimming, fishing, tubing, skiing, playing games, and eating lots of delicious food!

My cousins have kids all around Ava and Liam's age so the kids have a blast with them. Ava and Griffin are three months apart and become inseparable when together. They like to swim, swing on the rope (inside the cabin no less!), explore outside, play with the dogs, and just be together!
