Ava completed her first session of gymnastics last week. She had a great time learning to balance, tumble and jump and says her favorite activity at gymnastics is jumping on the trampoline. And she did a great job listening and trying out new things. Her friend Lucy was in her class (and her little sister Lyla was in another class) and Ava and Lucy are now counting down the days until they start dance class together!
Each child was presented a participant ribbon at the end of class and then came out of the gym and stood on the circle, held up their ribbon, and said "tah dah!" Not Ava though! She just walked right over the circle without stopping or saying anything!!! When I asked her later why she didn't say "tah dah" she said, "I didn't want all those people looking at me." Oh boy, she is truly shy through and through :)
