Our Halloween weekend was very busy, but very fun. This year we were dazzled by a nice, furry lion and cute, little pumpkin!

The festivities started for the kids on Thursday with a party at daycare. As you can see, the group photo was a challenge for Becky! But Ava got 'the most cooperative being photographed' award (Liam ... not so much)! They got to play some fun games, do crafts and eat spooky treats!

On Saturday we went to the Wineberg's house for a party with all of our friends and their kids. Our group has grown to eight kids (one is only a couple weeks old though and didn't join the party), so we were impressed at how well our group photo went! The kids had SO much fun breaking open a pinata, decorating cupcakes and dancing with Cassie! As Mandy mentioned at the time, we thought it was a good idea to get the juice boxes and cake out at 8:30 pm! The kids did really well though, despite the fact that they mostly just ate the sprinkles and licked off the frosting!

We started Sunday off at the MN Zoo for HallZOOween where the kids were able to wear their costumes while doing a little trick-or-treating and visiting the animals.

Sunday afternoon we visited Grandma Kim, Grandpa Dave, Uncle Ian and Bre Rose to start of our official trick-or-treating. Ruby, Joc and Nelly got dressed up too!

Sunday evening Ava went trick-or-treating with her friend and our neighbor Maddie. We went to about 15 houses and the girls did great, saying 'trick or treat' and 'thank you' every time. Sometimes Ava threw in a 'you're welcome' with her 'thank you' too!!! And Ava had just as much fun passing candy out to the trick-or-treaters who came to our house too. Still today she is asking when she gets to go trick-or-treating with Maddie again! Liam decided to turn in early that evening, so he didn't do any trick-or-treating. Mike's parents were nice enough to stay at our house with Liam and to pass out candy while Mike and I took Ava trick-or-treating. I am sure Liam will be rearing to go next year!
