But then a couple weeks before my return to work we found out that their daycare was closing! Although we were very disappointed, we had to quickly begin our search for a new one. We took this opportunity to find a daycare in Lakeville since Ava had still been attending daycare in Bloomington and decided to try the in-home setting.
Liam, being so young, had no adjustment issues and quickly stole the hearts of everyone at daycare. Ava, on the other hand, had lots of adjustment issues. Her old daycare was all she knew and that, coupled with her shy personality, made it a really tough change for her. It brought out reactions and behaviors from her that we had never seen. So, needless to say, we had a few weeks stressful and sad weeks and lots of discussions with her about this big change in her life.
Luckily, time healed this wound of Ava's. It has now been over two months since the kids started at Miss Becky's and I can confidently say that both Ava and Liam are very happy, safe and loved there.
Liam consistently elicits comments from Becky about how cheerful he is and what a 'sweet soul' he has. And Ava's has finally opened up and shown Becky how smart and loving she is. Ava has made some great friends and talks a lot about the fun she has with them!
Ava and her friend Brooka! --------- Happy Liam playing on the floor!

I am glad to hear that Ava has adjusted! That must make you feel so much better!
So fun to have a deck now to enjoy! Glad you have such nice family to help with that. Your children are beautiful, and I can't believe how great you look after Liam's only 5 1/2 months old! I'm glad the children are adjusted now and things are going well at daycare.
