Yesterday Ava celebrated her 4th birthday! Sounds so cliche, but how is it possible that she is four already?! Ava was VERY excited about her birthday this year. She's been talking for months about which friends to invite to her party. And for the past week she had been doing a daily countdown of the number of "sleeps" left until the big day!
Mike and I took Ava out for breakfast at a cute little diner near our house. She then got to play and celebrate with her friends at daycare, with cake songs and a special crown! For dinner (and cake again!) Grandpa Dave and Grandma Kim came over and then went to swimming lessons with us to watch Ava swim, along with Ian, Bre and Nora.
Overall, I think Ava felt special all day long and that is exactly what we hoped for. Now she has started the countdown to her big birthday party on May 5 (a combo party with Liam!) ... :)
