The most wonderful time of the year!

Our Christmas activities are in full-swing! Hooray! We kicked them off last weekend with two visits with Santa, getting and decorating our tree, and lots of shopping!

Ava and I braved the eleven and a half inches of snow we woke up to Saturday morning and headed to downtown Lakeville for their Holiday on Main celebration with our friends Katie and Maddie. The girls got their faces painted, snacked on a cookie, wrote a little letter to Santa and then got to meet with Santa! Ava was definitely shy with him, but wasn’t too scared. She told him she wants Christmas lights for Christmas (we’re not sure where she’s getting this from! We have lights up all over our house, but apparently she’d like more!).

We then went to get our Christmas tree where we got to see Santa again, with Liam as well this time. Ava was less shy than the first visit, so we’re hoping by the third visit this weekend she may even sit on his lap!

This is a scanned-in copy of a polariod photos, so it's a little grainy!

The rest of our weekend was filled with Christmas shopping and decorating the tree. This is such a happy and fun time of the year and I am very excited to start and continue holiday traditions in our family. Ava seems really into all the fun. And she seems to share my love for Christmas music. Whenever we have the radio on and she doesn’t hear a Christmas song she says, “this isn’t Christmas music. I want to hear Christmas music!”

Liam enjoyed the tree decorating while trying out his new jumperoo that a friend lent us (thank you Megan)!
